Authentic, local country music blend outlaw country, honky-tonk, Southern rock, and Americana
Alex Williams
Pendleton, Indiana's Alex Williams is part of a new generation of artists carrying forward the tradition of authentic country music. Influenced by legends like Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, and Merle Haggard, his songs blend outlaw country, honky-tonk, Southern rock, and Americana with honest storytelling and a sound that's rooted in real life.
Ironically, Williams didn't grow up on country music at all. Raised on '80s hair metal bands like Cinderella and Ratt, everything changed when his grandparents introduced him to Waylon Jennings' Dreaming My Dreams and Willie Nelson's Red Headed Stranger. Those albums sparked a complete shift in direction, leading him to trade his electric guitar for an acoustic and begin writing songs inspired by the rich tradition of classic country music.
Since then, Williams has earned national recognition for staying true to his artistic vision. His albums, including Better Than Myself and Waging Peace, showcase his gritty vocals, thoughtful songwriting, and commitment to making music without chasing trends. His latest release, Space Brain, continues to push his sound forward while remaining firmly grounded in authenticity.
Whether performing solo or with a full band, Alex Williams delivers songs with conviction, humor, and heart. His live performances capture the spirit of classic country while feeling fresh and unmistakably his own.
