For this intimate house concert, experience the heart and voice of Bashiri Asad — “The Everyday Soulsinger.”
He laughs. He cries. He loves. He dreams. Just like you, everyday. Bashiri feels deeply, and he turns those feelings into music — honest, unfiltered soul. An independent R&B/Soul singer-songwriter from Indianapolis, he calls his sound “IndySoul” — a blend of classic influence and lived experience.
With roots in shoo-wop style singing groups and classical vocal training, his voice has grown into the rich, soul-stirring presence audiences know today. You can hear echoes of Donny Hathaway, Stevie Wonder, Sam Cooke, and Luther Vandross — but what comes through most is Bashiri’s own strength, warmth, and conviction.
Backed by a tight, expressive band — Bashiri Asad (Vocals), Taj St. Helene (Bass), Fred Dixie (Keys), and Jordhan Perkins (Drums).
This living-room performance will highlight the nuance and power of true soul music. Humble in his approach, relentless in his delivery, Bashiri creates a connection you don’t just hear — you feel.
