The Ortwein JazzTet brings together some of Indianapolis's finest jazz musicians for an afternoon of exceptional live music. Led by Mark Ortwein—Assistant Principal Bassoonist with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, an accomplished saxophonist, composer, and one of the city's most versatile musicians—the group delivers an energetic mix of jazz, originals, and inventive arrangements that showcase Mark and his music.
This concert is especially meaningful because it's one of Mark's final Indianapolis performances before he moves to Los Angeles to pursue studio work. While we're excited to see where this next chapter takes him, his departure is a tremendous loss for our local music community. If you've ever wanted to hear Mark in the intimate setting of a living room concert, this is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate his incredible talent and send him off with a room full of friends, music lovers, and well-deserved appreciation.
