Pangaea Sky

The Clear Vibes House Concert series continued its inspired 2025 season with a mesmerizing performance by Pangaea Sky, a genre-blending world music quartet from Bloomington, IN. Held indoors on a cozy March afternoon, the show drew a full and enthusiastic crowd, all eager to be transported by the band’s immersive and globally inspired sound.

With a name rooted in the idea of ancient continental unity, Pangaea Sky perfectly captured the spirit of connection through music. Their performance featured intricately arranged traditional tunes alongside innovative original compositions, blending folkloric roots with modern textures and technology. From pulsing rhythms to soaring melodies, their set showcased a unique fusion of global influences that felt both ancient and entirely contemporary.

The band — Tom Clark (saxophones, flutes, keys, electronics), Peter Kienle (guitars, guitar synth), Julian Douglas (percussion), and Ron Kadish (bass, electronics) — brought a wide sonic palette and a palpable chemistry that filled the space with energy and warmth.

The atmosphere was alive with curiosity, joy, and connection — hallmarks of the Clear Vibes experience. It was more than a concert; it was a journey across cultures, time, and sound. Those in attendance left not only inspired but also reminded of the power of music to unite across all borders.
