Carrie Sue & The Wood Burners + Renaissance

Clear Vibes House Concerts Kick Off 2025 with a Packed House and Powerful Performances

The Clear Vibes House Concert series launched its 2025 season in unforgettable fashion on Sunday, January 26 in Indianapolis, welcoming a full house for an evening of music, poetry, and connection.

Headlining the night was Carrie Sue & The Wood Burners, a soulful trio from Urbana, Illinois. Blending folk, bluegrass, country, and Americana, the group delivered a rich tapestry of harmonies and heartfelt songwriting that resonated deeply with the audience. Their performance was a seamless fusion of old soul and modern spirit — the kind of music that lingers long after the final note.

Adding an extra layer of magic, Indianapolis poet Renaissance (Angelita Hampton) shared a set of emotionally charged, thought-provoking spoken word and poetry. With vivid imagery, lyrical flow, and themes rooted in social justice, her words called listeners inward and outward — offering both reflection and empowerment.

The energy in the room was warm and welcoming — exactly what Clear Vibes is all about. It wasn’t just a concert; it was a shared experience of artistic unity and joy. With such a strong start, this year's series promises more nights of inspiration and community to come.

There was snow on the ground the day of the house concert. Thanks to everyone for coming out to support live music and poetry!
