A Beautiful Sunday of Live Music
It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon for a Clear Vibes House Concert — perfect weather, a full room, and a wonderful mix of people who came out to listen and support two very talented local musicians.
Awetree
Audrey Coy, who performs as Awetree, opened the afternoon with a set of original music that brought something a little different to the room. She’s a younger artist who has really been making a name for herself locally, and house concert guests enjoyed hearing her music and getting to know her perspective.
Most of Awetree’s songs feature her electric ukulele, an instrument you don’t often see played and never quite the way she plays it. She also brought her keyboard setup and shared a brand-new song with us, which was a special treat.
Audrey is humble and puts a lot of care into her music. It was great to give her a space to share what she’s creating with a room full of people who were genuinely there to listen. Special thanks to Sofi Parker, another local artist, who will be performing experimental electronic music at an upcoming house concert in January 2027. Stay tuned!
Michael Kelsey
Michael Kelsey has played a house concert here before and I was happy to welcome him back. Several of his fans and returning house concert guests came out specifically to hear him again, along with several other musicians and new guests who were there to show their support.
Originally from Lafayette, Michael has been playing all over Indiana for years and has built quite a following. He’s a hardworking, kind, creative, and thoughtful musician, and his mastery of the guitar is something you really appreciate when you see him perform up close. He has a chill, percussive, loopy and sometimes ambient sound. And, his tunes have a positive spirit about them too.
He also has a wonderful way of connecting with an audience. Our youngest guest sat right in the front row, and Michael had fun playfully interacting with her throughout the show. At one point, he even let her strum his guitar. Those are the kinds of little moments that make a house concert feel so special.
A Room Full of Music Lovers
I’m grateful for everyone who spent part of their Sunday afternoon in my living room. Having people of all ages, including musicians supporting other musicians, makes these concerts feel like more than just a performance. They’re a chance for people to listen, connect, discover artists, and spend time together.
